Little Bits of Wonderful.

by katelin on March 2, 2018

Somehow it’s March. I mean, seriously, how did that happen? I’ve had a bit of writer’s block and sleep deprivation (which is ridiculous since this baby isn’t even here yet) and I feel like I’ve lost focus.

One of my goals this year is to write more. And I want to write more. I also want to focus more on the good things. So today, to get back into it, I’m sharing some of the good things that have been going on over here.

Riley has actually napped this week. Not every day. But the days that he has, it’s been a small miracle. It’s also made me all emotional when he falls back asleep on me because he won’t be the only baby in this house soon (and he’s not even a baby, ahhh).

Speaking of sleep, two nights ago I slept through the night without having to pee! Is that TMI? I hope not. Because really, I move back and forth most nights because of hip aches and then usually have to get up to pee. But alas, I’ve had two nights of not needing to pee and it’s been glorious. I’m basically trying to stock up on whatever sleep I can get while I can get it.

I’ve read eight books so far this year. Self high five. I’m on number nine right now and hope I can finish it before the baby arrives because I have a feeling my motivation to read is going to plummet for a while.

Black Panther. Matt and I had a lovely day date last weekend and got away to see this and guys, the hype is real. The action, the acting, the special effects, the costumes, the everything. It was just so good.

Last weekend I also managed to get away for a pedicure. And it was magical. I mean, I can’t really reach my toes these days, so to pay someone to make my toes pretty is quite delightful.

Every day this week Riley has been asking if his baby brother is here. He’s also adamant about telling us that he’s going to be a big helper. It’s incredibly cute and guys, I’m just so emotional that Riley isn’t going to be my only baby any more. His sweetness is precious (and helps me get over his tantrums and mild terribleness, ha).

And what’s your wonderful been these days?

happy weekend!
