Toddler Dreams.

In the past few weeks Riley has woken up with nightmares. Poor kid, there is literally not much I can do for him except hold him and snuggle him and help him get back to sleep.

However, so far when I’ve gone to comfort him, he’s greeted me with the following proclamations:

“MOMMY, WHERE IS MY YELLOW CAR!?”

“MOMMY, I NEED A STRAWBERRY!”

“MOMMY, I BROKE MY CARS!”

I kid you not, my child has said all of those things. And it is so hard not to laugh. Especially when it’s three in the morning and I’m half asleep and my child is asking about his cars. I mean, I think we’ve hit peak obsession level here right?

He’s dreaming about his cars. His cars are the first thing he goes to every morning. And they’re usually the last thing he’s playing with at night. So it makes sense he’d dream about them. But goodness kid, let’s chill, you’ve got plenty of cars to go around.

I wish he could tell me more about his dreams, but so far that’s all I’ve gotten out of him. Where’s the car? I broke my cars. And I need a strawberry. So you know, totally normal.

Can’t wait to see what this kid dreams up next.

happy tuesday!
