Five on Friday.

1. A few months ago our bubble machine broke. We kept telling Riley we’d get it fixed and we could never fix it and ultimately tossed it out and hoped he wouldn’t notice. And luckily he didn’t. About a month ago Matt found a new bubble machine and we’ve just had it. On Tuesday I finally decided to install batteries and set the bad boy up. BEST. DECISION. EVER. The pure joy on Riley’s face when it started kicking out bubbles was amazing. We seriously spent thirty minutes just popping bubbles and chasing bubbles and running around and laughing. Even though summer is coming to an end, I love that we have a balcony where we can bust this out when we really need it.

2. Outlander gives me feelings. All of them. Amidst watching this current season, I’ve also dug back into my Outlander coloring book as well as reading up on seasons one and two in my book. Eventually I will cook something delectable from the cookbook. Basically, I’m pretty consumed with Outlander right now and I wish I could just travel to Scotland. I also am way too invested in the lives of nonexistent people and keep having to remind myself that it’s just a show/book, ha.

3. Liane Moriarty is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I just read The Husband’s Secret and I couldn’t put it down. So far I’ve loved every book of hers that I’ve read and I’m excited to read the rest.

4. I keep forgetting I’m pregnant. And it’s still kind of weird telling people that I’m pregnant. I’m in that weird phase where I sort of look pregnant but also like I sort of just had Chipotle for lunch. I’m also just weird because I keep teetering on excited and nervous at all times (I’m a joy, really). On the up side however, on Wednesday Riley stood up on the couch so he could hug my belly and give “Mommy’s baby hugs and kisses.” I basically started sobbing (hi hormones, good to see you again).

5. It’s Fall Ya’ll! Seriously. This is my favorite time of year (minus the allergies). Yesterday was cold and rainyish and I LOVED it. Riley and I baked banana pumpkin bread and I can’t wait to keep on baking with my tiny sous chef.
