All Sorts of Weekend Cuteness.

Whew, what a weekend. Honestly I don’t know how we did it all or where it went or what day it is really. But the weekend was so good and I’m still smiling.

Friday: The morning was spent watching all my Thursday night shows since I went to bed at nine and catching up on emails and internet things and you know, busy work. The afternoon I got to play proud big sister. My little brother’s high school (also the HS where my mom works) Homecoming pep rally was going on and his girlfriend was on the Homecoming court. Not only that, but she was being crowned Queen! It was seriously so cute to see my brother all dressed up as her escort and both of their general shock when the big announcement came.
PHS homecoming 2014Overall the whole pep rally made me feel like I was in an episode of Friday Night Lights and the baby kicked like crazy the whole time, probably in celebration. So yes, it was entertaining to say the least.

The rest of the afternoon flew by and before I knew it, we were off to my aunt and uncle’s house for a taco dinner. It was a fun, low key, evening with tasty food, good conversation and a whole lot of laughs.

Saturday: You guys. It was 91 degrees Saturday afternoon. Yet, I still wanted pancakes. So gluten free pancakes and apple cider it was. And they were delicious.
UntitledAnd then I took a nap. And woke up, complained about the heat, and fell back asleep. Seriously, that was my afternoon. I somehow forgot we have air conditioning so I just complained all day until Matt came home and thought to turn it on, ha.

Eventually the evening came and luckily it wasn’t a million degrees because we had to get all fancy like for our sixth and final wedding of the year. And you guys, this was quite the wedding to end out the year. It was my cousin’s wedding and seriously, walking into the venue I felt like we knew EVERYONE. And it was awesome. Everyone got to feel my belly, catch up on life, take Fireball shots in my honor and have a generally wonderful time.
There was a whole lot of dancing, photo boothing and all around shenanigans and just, I love my family. They’re crazy and it’s delightful. I also adore my handsome date.
Sunday: We started our day off early and headed to our friends’ house in Newport Beach for a day of baby things sorting and football. Basically, they’re done having kiddos so they wanted to come check out what they had and see what we wanted. You guys, we won the baby stuff lottery. We got so many clothes, a basinet thingy, a bouncy chair and a pillow thingy. Basically, most productive afternoon ever. And fun. We got to snack all day, Matt got to watch football and we got to hang out with friends we don’t get to see often enough. We also got to see another friends’ baby girl and yep, I’m in love with the cuteness.

The rest of the evening was spent ordering take out and watching TV, because we earned it. And it was delightful.

And how was your weekend? Any weddings? Baby cuddles? Pancake eating?

happy tuesday!
