Yes, I love the California sun.
Yes, it’s nice that it’s 75 degrees in January.
But every now and then I just want to spend my winter here:
My alma mater has joined Instagram and my goodness have I become nostalgic not only for my college years, my campus and my friends but for the Winter. As you can tell, it was lovely. Campus transformed into a Narnia looking place where I only have amazing memories. And sometimes I just really wish I could go back.
Also fun fact, this exact path is where I once ran barefoot in the snow. Yes, alcohol was involved. And yes you can’t take the California out of the girl.
Hope you are enjoying Winter at least a little bit wherever you may be.
happy weekend!

This is hilarious because I am totally jonesing for some California sun. Snow is pretty…I guess…but I’m OVER IT! I had to drive in it last night and almost had a panic attack. My eyes are bad, so it’s a challenge for me at night. Anyhow, I will try my hardest to enjoy the snow for you…if you agree to enjoy the sun for me!
We had snow on Saturday night. Big fat flakes. It was gorgeous. Not enough of it to make it impossible to drive or go out, but still gorgeous. I just wish we had more of it as I’d love a snow day!
I was out in L.A. last week and it was gorgeous (even a little chilly!)…while back at home in Nashville they had in the same week: a 70 degree day, a tornado outbreak with winds big enough to knock over a light pole, and a mini blizzard with snow and ice. I just don’t understand this winter, ha! I’m ready for spring
We welcome you to Cleveland ANYTIME to see the snow!
We’ve had two minor snow falls so far this year and it’s been lovely both times. I love how everything looks covered in snow, how peaceful it is at night while snow falls and you can actually hear the snow falling. It’s wonderful.
I would enjoy winter a whole lot more if it looked like this (instead of just being rainy and grey.)
You want snow and all I want is to be somewhere nice and warm. Switch places?
Isn’t nostalgia a tricky thing? I find myself missing Syracuse, a much snowier place than here in Ohio. But then I remember I *hate* the snow! Ha!
