It’s that time again. Time where I swoon and ooh and awe over one of Hollywood’s biggest award shows. It’s also the time where I informed my parents of almost every random nominee and shushed everyone around me so I could hear everyone’s speeches [yes I am THAT TV watcher, ha].
With that, here’s the full list of winners and here we go with my commentary as the show happened:
Love seeing clips of my favorites, Jen and Ben and George. Could I be at that table??
Joaquin looks so pained to be there, bah.
Love Amy and Tina’s opening, can they alternate hosting every award show with NPH? Yes, please and thank you.
Mandy, Mandy, Mandy! Adore him and his wise old owlness.
Good job Christoph Waltz! You really are an adorable little German man.
I WANT Kerry Washington’s dress, sweet mercy.
NO Maggie Smith? I feel so robbed. Perhaps she’s in England being fabulous.
Hurray Julianne Moore, loving her dress so much (despite what everyone else is saying).
No, who are you? President of the HFP? How do I get that job? Are you retiring? Awkward Bradley Cooper joke, awkward.
Damian Lewis for the win! Hurray Homeland wins!
Paul & Salma, silliest presenters for best drama.
Homeland for the big win. Because this show is amazing.
Love that Jennifer Lawrence is bundled up in someone’s jacket, girl is cold and not afraid to admit it.
Pretty awesome to get the real Tony Mendez there to present Argo even if his mic was all wonky.
Seriously why is it so loud at the Globes every time they come back from commercial?
JLO really likes to show off as much skin as possible.
Adele high fiving Daniel Craig is a wonderful vision. And a great mums night out for her.
Swifty looking a little surprised to not win it. Womp, womp.
Loving Tina in the fake nominee.
Mr. Costner aged quite a bit since the Emmy’s. [He laughed at me once, memories]
Slick Willy in the house. Also, so many presidential like TV shows/movies out right now. He could have been presenting anything, ha.
Kristen and Will, next year’s host? Best presentation ever.
Jennifer Lawrence for the win! Adore her. Loved her speech. Beating Meryl, so classic since it was a movie reference that a lot of people seemed to miss.
Totally forgot Kristen Bell was pregnant, she’s adorable.
Mandy was robbed.
Hate her or love her, Anne Hathaway’s speech and dedication to Sally Field is wonderful. And the fact that she referenced being the Princess of Genovia is magical.
My mom and several other Twitter peeps pointed out that Anne’s husband is very Golsingesque. Lucky lady.
Oh Hellooooo, Rob. Don’t you look all cleaned up and lovely.
Tarantino is just so weird.
The Big Bang‘s table looked like so much fun and so excited for Jim. I’m okay with the loss to Cheadle, he’s pretty damn awesome.
Tami Taylor I love you.
Amy and George Clooney? Should be the best new couple alert.
Lena Dunham, her dress may be awful but she’s so cute and so happy about this win.
Love Tina & Amy, the sad drunk losers. So funny.
Jodi. Okay then.
YES! BEN! THE WIN! Love to Jen, so exciting. Hurray. Too bad the Oscar’s snubbed him because my goodness, so good. HEART THEM!
Apparently Girls is something I should be watching. Lena thanked Chad Lowe.
Audibly let out a gasp and said HELLO to Christian Bale.
Loved that Jen finished up Ben’s speech for him, ADORE THEM SO MUCH.
& then Hugh wins and his wife is crying and it makes me all teary and just, LOVE.
Oh Jeremy you look quite dapper. Wear a suit, always. Just shave off that weird ‘stache okay?
Les Miserables for the big musical/comedy win, apparently I need to catch up on everything and see that too.
George, you are so dashing.
Jessica I love you but your hair looks a little off. Now I have to see this Bin Ladin movie apparently.
And to no one’s surprise Daniel Day Lewis takes it for Best Actor in a Drama. I guess I need to see Lincoln now too.
The Golden Globe drinking game should have included Sofia Vergara’s Pepsi commercial, sweet mercy how many times did that thing air?
Whew. Is it time for The Oscar’s yet? Ha.
