Life is good. Enjoy it. Seriously, nap time? Embrace that stuff now! Also, New Kids on the Block. When they break up don’t get mad at mom for not letting you go to a concert, it’ll be okay. Yes, you’ll just have to wait a while to eventually see them BUT it will be THE BEST THING ever, I promise.

Yo Fifteen Year old Katelin,
Yo is hip right? It’s what the teens said? In any case. Let me tell you something. You may not be the most popular girl but you’ve got great friends. Hold on to them tight and enjoy high school (Physics is sort of a bummer but you’ll get past it). Actually I know you’ll love high school, so not much advice there.
Also, stop freaking out about getting kissed. It’ll happen. And it will be awesome. You may never see the guy again but it’s the stuff teenage girls dream of. Sixteen, at a bonfire, in Germany. So there’s that to look forward to. And you have lots of crushes, so enjoy those too. You’re young, it’s totally acceptable. And so very you.

I’m just going to throw this out there now, stop thinking you’re not beautiful. Just stop it now. I know you have all this quiet (or not so quiet) envy about your sister and how all the guys (even your guy friends) think she’s so attractive (because she is) but you’re beautiful too. Know it. Embrace it. And when people tell you, don’t think they’re just trying to make you feel better.
Along those lines, Matt’s going to tell you he likes you. And you don’t say it back. It’s okay. You’re meant to be friends right now and it’ll be a great decision. Trust me, I know. Also, he’s a great prom date.
Also, please don’t bother applying to big quarter system colleges? It’ll save you a lot of time and stress. You’re a small liberal arts girl at heart and you know it. So I’m just going to spoil it for you and tell you Denison University. It’ll be one of the absolute best decisions you’ve ever made. EVER.
