So, Katelin fun fact of the day: I wear glasses.
Not all the time, really only for driving and going to the movies and seeing things far away because apparently I’m nearsighted (seriously I had to ask Matt which one I was because I can never remember, ha). When I was a kid I always wanted glasses or braces because everyone had them but me and apparently adulthood was when I’d get that wish. I started wearing glasses as soon as I got vision insurance six years ago and my life has been infinitely better and clearer (pun intended).
This year my prescription changed a bit and fortunately GlassesUSA.com stepped in at just the right time and offered me a new pair of glasses.
My old prescription glasses were pretty thin rimmed and tended to get caught in my hair if I ever put them on my head. I liked them, but I wanted something different this time around. GlassesUSA had this great virtual mirror where I could check out different styles on my face and eventually I decided something totally geeky and totally different. They were very unlike me but I figured ‘why not?’ and placed my order.
However, after they arrived, I tried them on and I couldn’t see out of the left eye. Like it gave me a headache and it was fuzzy and I knew something was wrong. After much back and forth we (me & the fabulous people at Glasses USA) realized that I had entered the wrong prescription. Really, does this surprise anyone?
The customer service guys were so helpful and helped me reorder my glasses and they arrived within days and I finally had my new glasses.
Don’t mind the dorky pose, the reflection in the lenses and the shirt that actually looks like scrubs – I was too excited about the specs to care too much, ha. But really, I’m a fan. Although these glasses are pretty big, they’re light and they go up in my hair without getting tangled and I have to admit, they actually make me look a little smarter. Don’t you agree?

So, there we have it. Katelin wears glasses and looks like a big dork while doing so. Thanks GlassesUSA for helping bring out my not so inner dork.
And if you’re in the market to buy glasses I definitely recommend GlassesUSA, they currently have some great sales and coupons happening and you can even use the discount code Blog10 to take 10% off your order.
So are you part of the glasses wearing club? Or secret contacts (don’t even get me started on how I could never wear contacts)? Or do you have excellent no-glasses-necessary vision?
happy weekend!
*GlassesUSA provided me with new eyeglasses but the opinions are all my own, obviously*

Yet another similarity. I wear glasses, too and for the same reasons, though I now where them more at work for computer work as the darn computer hurts my eyes now. Isn’t that lovely?
Love the new look! It’s important to have light glasses and ones that are tangle-free in your hair
I gave up my glasses when I got LASIK, but I do miss the look. Maybe I need vanity ones. :-p
I am both a glasses wearer and contact wearer-not at the same time of course. Those are some cute specs!
Me likey! They’re cute. I recently got new glasses from Warby Parker and I love them. I like the “big frames” look. Never heard of Glasses USA, but I will have to keep them in mind!
I’m with Suki! I am so happy to be done with NEEDING glasses, but I do love them. You look so cute with the glasses!
