Weekends, are always a good thing. They’re even better when you only have a few things to do and naps are aplenty. So basically what I’m saying is that it was a good weekend and I napped and it was glorious.
Friday: After a busy day of researching for work at home Matt and I had a fun little date night over burgers and laughs and it was lovely. The rest of the night was spent watching Olympics and raving about how cute Missy Franklin is (seriously, she is a gem). So basically, a good night.
Saturday: A glorious morning of sleeping in and pancakes and Olympics (apparently I’m more of a fan than I thought) before an afternoon of baby shower. One of my oldest friends (I’ve known her 21 years!) Leticia is expecting her first little bebe and I was all too excited to see her to celebrate little Gavin’s impending arrival.
Despite the heat it was a fun afternoon of tacos and baby talk and meeting new people and cute kids and just, lovely.
After the shower, I spent my evening drinking wine and reading while listening to The Holiday soundtrack. Once I finished my book I continued to drink wine and eat popcorn and watch SPEED (the BEST movie ever? Yes. Yes it is) and it was just the best kind of night.
Sunday: Started my morning groggily exercising with my mom before coming home to watch more Olympics volleyball (no really, it’s a thing now). Eventually my friend AJ came over and the three of us made our way to BWW for some wings (the guys) and fries (me!) and a good time of sports watching and Sunday Fundayness. The rest of the day consisted of napping, catching up, “Call Me Maybe”, sushi and more Olympics.
Basically, the epitome of a lazy weekend with good friends and good times.

I actually did manage to watch some of the Olympics! We watched a couple hours of the track and field last night, mainly to catch the men’s 100m final. Glad you had such a wonderful weekend
I watched some Olympics here and there. I did some lazing about in bed on Saturday morning, catching up on the DVR, and then it was wedding errand time (I will be so glad when this wedding is finally here!). Yesterday was an impromptu home improvement day: painted a whole room (trim included) and changed out light fixtures! Our first floor has been completely painted and is mostly how we want it which makes me sooo happy
And that blue dress your friend wore is gorgeous!
