Chillin Out.

So weekends, I like them a lot. Obviously. I mean I talk about them every Monday so clearly something has to be going right. And hopefully you don’t totally hate my rambling on and on about my life and all that jazz. So yeah, here we go.

Friday: I had the day off of work and used it to my advantage. I lounged around and watched movies and read and napped and it was glorious. Actually glorious. That night we went to dinner with some friends of ours and it was so fun to chat and catch up which watching the opening ceremonies on mute. Afterwards Matt and I came home to watch them with sound and it still didn’t make any sense, ha.

Saturday: Started my day with a fabulous girls’ brunch at Jenna’s house with Nicole and Drea and just. I heart those ladies. And I love that we can talk about anything from life issues to Harry Potter and Twilight. I mean the food was delicious but the conversation was even better.

I spent the rest of my afternoon at a mini reunion for the I Have a Dream Foundation. They’re closing the Pasadena office and it was like walking into a time warp. I got to see some friends I’ve known for 20 years and see ridiculous pictures of myself, like this gem:
After the reunion Matt and I had some friends over for dinner which was a nice way to spend the evening. It really made me wish we had a BBQ and a patio, but we made it work. We had a delicious meal and watched a movie and drank some wine, twas loverly all around.

Sunday: Besides picking my mom and brother up at the airport the day was full of more lounging, which is quite alright with me. I had a Skype date with my BFF Jen to watch Toddlers & Tiaras, which was the highlight of my day. Seriously that show is the best, and watching it with Jen was even better. The rest of the afternoon was full of reading and Olympics (seriously, beach volleyball is awesome!) and napping. The evening was spent celebrating my baby brother’s 15th birthday which…let’s not talk about how old he is, I’m in denial here.

All in all it was a weekend that was equally busy yet relaxing. Pretty sure that’s how all weekends should be right?

And how was your weekend? Any Olympics watching?

happy monday!

You are adorable. The end.

I had zero plans this weekend so I watched the Olympics. Mostly so I could see the hot swimmers and volleyball players. ;)

I’m usually indifferent about the Olympics, but for some reason, I can’t get enough this year! Love the drama of the gymnastics.

Definitely watched the Olympics. They were on and have been on a ton. I’m kind of obsessed with watching them even though I don’t know who any of them are (well except the swimmers).

There was also baby holding (oh, the babies!) and playing with our friends toddler, plus lots of friend time, wine, pizza and girl talk. Doesn’t get better than that, I don’t think. I was sad to see the weekend end but I guess it had too…
