So tell me. Am I the only one that constantly looks at the space around her and wants to change all of it?
No? Just me.
Okay then.
Two things. One. I’m not rich. I so wish I was. But alas I’m not. Instead, I redecorate and reorganize on a budget.
Two. I live too close to a Target, as in minutes away. It’s incredibly dangerous. But still, I budget.
On a regular Target trip I come home with a candle. Because you know, candles are awesome year round especially when your space is small and easy to make smell nice (no really, this red velvet candle is actual MAGIC). In other recent trips I’ve also come home with a new table cloth, throw pillows and a candle holder that was totally necessary (or so I tell myself and my wallet).
I’ve also rearranged artwork on our walls and moved around little vases.
I also like to occasionally buy myself flowers (or send a message to my husband – hint hint Matt – that I want some flowers) to brighten our apartment up a bit.
Basically, I’ve learned in the past four years of living in our apartment that it’s easy to add some things and change some things and all of those things can make your apartment feel like home even if the feel of it is a little different.
- New tablecloth
- Repurposed wine corks to replace candles
- Vase waiting for flowers
Basically all the makings of a redeco project
So tell me, how often do you redecorate or reorganize your apartment/house/residence? Daily? Weekly? Never?
happy weekend!

Cuuuuuute tablecloth! I like it a lot! I like to make little changes, but so far we’ve never lived anywhere long enough to justify investing in major home improvements. But I do love a fresh coat of paint on the walls and changing up throw pillows to make a difference. I’d say with each move, I’ll revamp a couple of rooms with little changes. I’ve been eyeing some new bedroom decor for down the road a bit
I love redecorating! However our apartment is covered in wallpaper and funky floors/tiles, etc. Those things aren’t easy to change!
I do the same thing. It’s amazing how a few little changes here and there can make the home much nicer again
Man, I wish I had more of a visual eye. I’ve done what I can to un-guy-ify our apartment, but it’s not as cute as I would hope. But I’m kinda stuck. Maybe what I need is for a friend to stop by and help out. And maybe a few hours in Target could do me good too (hopefully I don’t walk out with the whole store though)!
I have that same Red Velvet candle from Target!! $5? Can’t beat that. And it smells amazing.
OMG I am the same way. I love change and constantly want to redecorate! My husband thinks i’m crazy!
