Oh weekends. Oh weekends. Oh weekend.
Friday: I called it an early day due to a freaking stye that I just can’t get to go away (seriously, don’t ever get a stye. Ever.) and came home to relax. Our actual evening plans involved a big group of family and friends’ attending the soft opening of my brother-in-law Brad’s new restaurant. It was awesome. It’s been a long process for him getting the place off the ground with the owners’ and I’m just so proud of him and how it’s turned out. It also helped that the food was DELICIOUS. And I’m not just saying that because I’m biased but really, eeee.
Saturday: Not too exciting of an afternoon, but the evening was awesome. We made our way to Newport Beach to meet up with our friends for a birthday celebration. And not just any celebration. Our friend Matt turned 35 and we celebrated in style. A huge group of us took a limo to Angel Stadium, where his wife Kristin had gotten a suite for the nights’ game! And if you know me, you know that I love limos, so one: that was awesome. And two: I love baseball. And three: I love our friends. So the night was a guaranteed win and it did not disappoint in any way.
It was also incredibly sweet how much our friends’ son Bryce hung out with Matt all night. He was always at his side and just, ah. It was so cute. And I’d be lying if I didn’t say my ovaries were melting the whole night seeing my husband being so cute with a kid, it was almost to much, haha. But really. They were quite the adorable pair.

The game overall was great and the Angels won so it was even better. The suite was awesome and just such a fun way to spend the night.

Sunday: The laziest day EVER. Matt and I literally did nothing. He played some video games, I went in and out of naps. It was ridiculous and amazing at the same time. I think the past couple of weeks caught up with us because we really didn’t want to do anything else but relax. And it was loverly.
And how was your weekend? Any laziness or baseball for you?
happy monday!

Those photos of Matt and the little boy are so sweet!
Also your bro-in-law opened a restaurant? That’s awesome. Way to go him!!
If you and Matt ever come to STL we’ll go to a Cardinals game since I know you like baseball now. Not sure we can pull off the limo thing, though
Glad you had some much needed rest yesterday! Knight and the kidlets actually let me sleep in until 9am on Saturday. That was bliss!!!
Aww. I love watching CB play with kids. He is SO good at it. Hell, even watching him with Walker sometimes makes my uterus go nuts.
We had a good weekend. Not extremely productive, but good. Went to a local amusement park and had a grand old time! I’m glad you had a good weekend too. Sometimes we need those lazy days to sleep and catch up!
Sounds like an awesome weekend! Sorry to hear about the stye
Is there anything they can do for it? And Matt with the kiddo is adorable, your kids are going to be so gorgeous
