Confessions of a photo fiend & a giveaway. *CLOSED*

by katelin on March 1, 2012

Congrats to newlywed Lynn for winning the giveaway & Thanks to everyone that entered!

I find that I am usually part of the minority when it comes to picture taking and picture printing. I’ve ALWAYS (and I mean always) done both. I love taking pictures and I love printing them out and framing them or adding them to our fridge, bulletin board or giving them to friends. Basically I’m a picture fiend.

The amount of photo albums I have at my parents’ house and in our apartment is a bit ridiculous but oh so worth it. So many awesome memories documented somewhere other than my Facebook page and I love it.

So when I won a giveaway for an Easy Canvas from Susan‘s blog a month ago I flipped out. Getting a picture printed on canvas! It’s so fancy! And so pretty! And what was I going to get printed!?

I settled on one of my favorite pictures from our honeymoon of the coast of Cinque Terre. And you guys. This print turned out beautifully:
And it totally fits the color scheme or our bedroom and everything! I adore it.

So when Easy Canvas asked if I’d like to get another print and give one as a giveaway as well I jumped at the chance! For my second print I selected a photo of the lanterns we had strung at our wedding. The coloring, the quality, everything about the small print turned out lovely. And it fits it perfectly with our wall collage that I created a few months ago on a whim. See:

Right? How pretty is that. And on a canvas it just looks so professional and schnazzy and unique and I am truly in love. And I’m pretty sure if we didn’t run out of wall space already I’d keep printing pictures on canvas. Heck I’ll probably get more to give to friends and family anyways, what a great gift right!?

And now for a giveaway! Hurrah! Easy Canvas Prints has graciously offered to give away an 8×10 including free shipping. Lovely right?

To enter:
Tell me what picture you’d chose to turn into canvas.

For an extra entry:
Like Easy Canvas Prints on Facebook and leave a comment letting me know.

*Winner must be a US resident (excluding Hawaii & Alaska due to shipping costs – sorry to my overseas, tropical and Sarah Palin neighbors! Next time!).

I’ll be picking a winner at random next Thursday March, 8.

Happy photo taking and good luck!

*Easy Canvas Prints sent me a canvas for review and will be providing the winner their canvas as well but all thoughts and feedback and adoration of these pretty canvases are all me*

Ooooh love! I was just in my friends wedding and there is a gorgeous picture of me and her and the other bridesmaid right after the wedding, and i just want to blow it up and put it EVERYWHERE because it’s so pretty! I think that’s the photo I’d use :)

Those are beautiful pictures, especially the lanterns! I don’t know what it is about lanterns, but they’re beautiful to look at — even in 2D :)

I’d probably use a collage of a few different pictures. I’ve mentioned in the past all the ways that the universe has hinted and the manfriend and I should be together (from the napkin that said “Love is all you need” to the “One Love” sign we saw in Seattle). I’d turn these moments into a collage so I could it hang it up and always be reminded of the epic amounts of love between us.

I am the same as you with pictures. I don’t know what to do with them all!! If I won, I would probably select a picture of me and the hubs OR one of our pup. Tough decision!

Ooo – canvas photos yay!!

I would get a canvas of one of our wedding photos. It was a beautiful October day, and the photographer caught the church, our getaway car, and all of our guests waiting for us to burst out of the church as husband and wife. Love the anticipation of the photo and the feeling it gives me to see how many family and friends turned out to help us celebrate!

ps: liked them on Facebook too!!

This picture! http://www.etsy.com/listing/82174544/morning-latte

It’s probably my favorite of all the photos I’ve taken in the past couple of years and I think it’d look great in my kitchen :)

Oh what a fun concept, I love it! There is an amazing photo of my HUSBAND and me from the wedding, where is is just the two of us on the roof of the Franklin Institute, with the Philly skyline behind us. The colors in the photo would look awesome on canvas!

Also, I LOVE your lantern one- that looks amazing!

Oh my gosh those are awesome! It would be so hard to choose which photo but possibly one I took of an amazing sunset during my friends’ wedding in Tennessee. Seriously these are great, also love your framed map!

I LOVE that idea! Putting it on a canvas is such a great idea. If I had to pick one, I would go with one from Rome or New Orleans. I have so many gorgeous photos from there.

I would totally blow up a view of the grapevines in Napa Valley in the fall when my boyfriend and I were cruising in California. The oranges and bright, fiery red leaves were gorgeous! It was a real treat for the eyes.

We’re heading to London and Paris and Sweden very, very soon and I bet I’m going to take a whole handful of photos I’d love to have printed and put on canvas, so, if I won, I’d definitely get one of those printed.

A photo of my husband and I at the park one day. We just moved and don’t have many pictures of us around. Or of anything on the walls for that matter.

What an awesome giveaway! That photo from Cinque Terre is absolutely gorgeous! And the lanterns are so pretty too.

If I won I would probably turn a picture from our Southwest road trip into a canvas.

I love your photos, they’re so beautiful! I’ve always wanted to go to Cinque Terre.

I think I would either a photo from one of our trips or an old family photo.

And I just liked them on FB.

Thanks Katelin!
