So I had a post all ready to go yesterday and then I was struck the worst headache of ever and even looking at a computer was a strain. I mean, ugh, what is that? (also that line totally makes me sound like a valley girl, I so am not, okay maybe a little). In any case the weekend (minus the killer headache) was splendid. So here we go.
Friday: After work I picked up my youngest brother and brought him back to my apartment to play the Wii, eat pizza and watch Back to the Future III. It was superb. I even let the kid have soda and ice cream and we had popcorn and my goodness am I a bad influence or what, haha. All in all a perfect evening for some sibling bonding time.
Saturday: The day began celebrating a friend’s son’s second birthday and my goodness, kids are fun. Seriously. Got to hang out with adults, drink sangria, eat pizza and play with new toys with the birthday boy. It was the best to say the least.
After the party I came home and watched Annie Hall (on the movie list! Go me!) for the first time ever (interesting to say the least) and napped and all that jazz before going out to dinner with Matt. After dinner we headed over to Dave and Buster’s to celebrate my BFF Megan’s birthday. And my goodness what a fun time. There was lots of basketball competitions and shooting games and laughs and drinks and stuffed animals and a balloon in her pocket, so basically a great night.

Sunday: The morning was spent being lazy, the afternoon was spent with paninis (seriously I love our press) and candy and making my friend watch Love Actually for the first time ever. And she loved it. And I cried. And we both love it. Once she left I got to Skype with my BFF Jen which was superb and we compared nail polish and talked in weird voices and yes, love us. However once the computer was shut it was like my head decided to revolt against me and I was struck with THE HEADACHE OF ALL HEADACHES (maybe even a migraine because I don’t know the difference). Seriously, I felt helpless. So I watched Criminal Minds reruns and went in and out of sleep and willed my head to feel better (to no avail). So an early bedtime it was and the weekend ended on a lame note. But whatever. It was still a good one.
And how was your weekend? Any birthday celebrations?
Also. The Oscar nominations are out today and yes that will be covered tomorrow and YAY THE OSCAR’S!
happy tuesday!

if criminal minds doesn’t make you feel better…you know you’ve got something serious!
looks like an amazingggg weekend!
what a cutie that little boy is. aw, shucks!
i celebrated a friends birthday at a bar crawl. it was quite lovely. the next day, however, was slightly unbearable.
No birthday weekend celebrating or anything like that, but we had six adults, two kids, one toddler and two dogs in our house. It was chaotic but fun. I even sat in the dog water bowl, totally on accident. Which was my cue that I drank too many margaritas. =)
You always make me wish for a younger brother. If I had one, I’d make him be as nerdy as me and then he’d watch all the nerdy movies and do all of the nerdy things that my husband is too cool for. Ha ha.
Everyone is always raving about Annie Hall. I watched it a year or so ago and wasn’t overly impressed. I do love Diane Keaton, though. She’s my fave.
you know i celebrated ms peltz’s bday this past weekend – no other fun ones coming up though.
i’m sure i’ll find something else to do
Yay! Looks like a fun weekend. Can we discuss Oscar noms and snubs. Some shocking news this morning!
