Oh weekends are wonderful. Even more wonderful when they last into Monday. And there’s lot of lazy things and lovely things.
Friday: A lovely evening with fancy burgers with Matt. And then that was about it. Came home to catch up on the DVR and relax as much as feasibly possible. Win.
Saturday: Another lazy day, although I did buy new work out clothes which is a great step towards actually working out right? And tthen I spent the afternoon playing Just Dance 3 and cleaning and TV watching and being lazy and reading and oh yes, the good life. Eventually Matt and I grabbed dinner and had another lovely date night which ended with the Wii and laughs and good times and an early bedtime and just lovely.
Sunday: So. On a whim I decided to started to check out Showtime on demand and realized that the entire season of Homeland was there. And SIX episodes later I’m quite a fan. Seriously, the suspense, the drama, the constant love affairs, so much wo. Eventually I had to pry myself away from the show and go to an actual live performance of WICKED.
Matt’s Christmas present to me was to see Wicked and Sunday was the night. And I was smitten. It was my fourth time seeing the show and it was just as wonderful as the other three times. So wonderful I even teared up at the end (yes I am a sap, yes Matt made fun of me).
And to make Sunday even more wonderful, I came home to the DVRed Golden Globes. I somehow managed to stay away from Twitter over intermission and got to watch the show and make my own ooos and ahhhs and my goodnesses! And oh yes, a full recap of that is coming soon. So basically, Sunday was a win. And today is a win. And I say, it’s going to be a good week, just because.

I love The Counter! I’m convinced they have the best veggie burger in the country and their garlic-parmesan fries? Amazing!
I’ve been watching Homeland since the beginning and it’s so addictive. As soon as you finish one episode, you can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next.
And finally, I would love to see Wicked live. For Good and Defying Gravity are two of my favorite songs ever and seeing them performed in person would be mesmerizing!
